Payments:  A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking and the balance at least 30 days before the tour begins. The deposit may be forfeited in case of cancellations and amendments. Cheques, Drafts and Money Transfers should be made payable to:

Confirmation: All booking with allotments are automatically confirmed. For other bookings without allotments, The Magic Zanzibar Tours & Travel Ltd will give confirmation by e-mail.

Cancellations: Inline with the requirements of most hotels/lodges/camps, it is our policy to levy cancellation charges. It should be noted that The Magic Zanzibar Tours & Travel Ltd, where possible will assist you to negotiate with suppliers concerning the commission / reduction of such charges. However should the application of such charges be inevitable, then your account will be debited accordingly.

i)                 When CANCELLATION is less than 30 days from the date of arrival, the fee shall be fifity percent (50%) of the total amount.

ii)               When the CANCELLATION is less than 48hours OR a NO SHOW the fee will be hundred percent (100%) of the total amount.

Rates: Rates include all expenses in respect of accommodation, vehicles and the type of tours with regard to the chosen itinerary, all meals where it is applicable. All other expenses of a personal nature such as airport tax, visa charges, tips, beverages, laundry etc. are not included. All rates are based on tariffs and prevailing exchange rate at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice.

Transportation:  Mini-Vans, 4x4 wheel drives or coaches are provided according to the route and number of clients. TST reserves the right to employ the services of sub-contractors as and when deemed necessary. TST also provide drivers and allocate escort guides.

Accommodation:  This is based on two persons sharing a twin room / lodge / camp. Where possible, rooms with private bathroom are provided. Single rooms are available at an additional cost but cannot be guaranteed. The hotels / lodge / camps are an indication of the kind of accommodation to be expected, however rooms may be reserved in similar hotels / lodge / camps in the event of any unforeseen changes.

Alteration to tours: The company reserves the right to alter arrangements or cancel the operation of a scheduled tour should circumstances demand it. It also reserves the right to decline or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time, in which case a refund will be made accordingly.

Liability: The company and its agents act only as agents of the customer in all matters relating to hotel / camp accommodation, tours, transport etc., and shall not be liable for injury, delays, loss or damage whatsoever. The laws of the country in which the tour takes place and no other country govern the companys liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which any action arises.

 

All expeditions involve an element of risk, and members of any expedition must accept this risk as the company accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to baggage, personal effects, valuables, or money. It is therefore advisable to take an insurance cover for personal effects, accidents and medical expenses.
